Five years into his marriage, David Finch discovered he had Asperger Syndrome, a mild form of autism. Finch then set out to repair his marriage with his wife, Kristen. With Kristen’s encouragement, Finch wrote The Journal of Best Practices, a memoir about his life and marriage after his diagnosis.
The book was on the New York Times Best Seller List on 22 January 2012, and featured in over twenty publications and radio broadcasts. Besides writing a blog for Psychology Today, Finch travels the country speaking about his experience with Asperger’s.
Finch was born and raised on a farm McHenry, Illinois.
