Born in Woodstock, Illinois, Quinn Redeker has acted in Hollywood since 1959, appearing in television and movies. He is a familiar face on soap operas such as The Days of Our Lives, and The Young and Restless, for which he was nominated a Daytime Emmy in 1973. In 1980, Redeker acted alongside Donald Sutherland and Mary Tyler Moore as Moore’s brother, Ward, in Ordinary People. The film received several Oscar nominations, and took best picture of the year.

Since then, Redeker acted in a number of television shows, though some might have spotted him playing President Reagan in the 2012 film, The Big Miracle.

Redeker created the story for the 1978 Oscar-winning film, The Deer Hunter.
